arrow Day 8 (ALONISSOS)
Alonissos This day has been kept for you to explore this magical, green island. The town of Patitiri is not your normal Greek Island town as it was nearly destroyed in the earthquake of 1965. The town moved to safer ground after this, but the old town can be wandered about, a veritable ghost town and a photographer's paradise. Most of the island's best beaches are to the north and east of the island and there is regular public transport to these places. The island is also known for its wine and there are plenty of small wineries to visit in the hils. Or as this is your last island day, you may wish to just relax and enjoy island life.
