Day 1, Arrival in Athens
Arrival in Athens and meeting with our local representatives and English speaking driver. Luxury air-conditioned transport to your hotel in a central spot of Athens. Leisure time to settle in your room, relax and do anything else you wish. If you wish to get a flavour of Athens, we suggest you walk to Plaka, one of the oldest quarters in Athens, right at the foot of the Acropolis Hill. It is a lively area and a quite quaint one with a good lot of traditional-style tavernas for a nice dinner and Greek dancing shows.
Day 2, Athens Tour
After breakfast collection for a most yearned Athens guided tour in an air-conditioned coach. You will be introduced to the major ancient attractions and modern creations in Athens by your English speaking guide, presenting you the clash between antiquity and modern time. Some of the most important attractions in Athens are included in this tour such as city Syntagma Square with the Parliament House and the tomb of the unknown soldier, the Panathenaic Stadium or else “Kallimarmaron” where the first Modern Olympic Games took place in 1896. During the tour we will also drive past the Presidential Palace, embassies and government buildings, as well as beautiful residencies. The Catholic Cathedral, the University Building, the National Library as well as Omonia Square are landmarks of the centre of Athens.
Some of the archaeological attractions we are visiting are the Temple of Zeus lying off one of the most central avenues of Athens, as well as the unique Acropolis Hill with the grand Parthenon and surrounding buildings such as the Temple of Athena Nike, the Porch of the Maidens and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. The Acropolis is connected to the district of Thission, Plaka and other archaeological sites such as the ancient agora by wonderful pedestrian streets that you can explore. Early return to the hotel so as to get a rest and leisure time in the afternoon. Culture vultures could do with a visit to the National Archaeological Museum or you could stroll around Plaka and Monastiraki for souvenir shopping and a nice dinner.
Day 3, Travelling to Mykonos
After breakfast and check out you will be transferred by your driver to Piraeus for your trip to Mykonos by hydrofoil. Excited? On arrival to Mykonos you will meet our local representative and will be led to the hotel, where you will be hosted for the three nights to follow.
Mykonos is a renowned Aegean destination boasting a cosmopolitan atmosphere and the best nightlife in the Cyclades, with numerous options for all tastes. Mykonos truly is an exciting island that will amaze you with its winding white washed alleys with top-notch stores, famous jewellers’, high standard restaurants and bars. Enjoy a delicious dinner in one of the restaurants and spend a wonderful night-out drinking cocktails and dancing.
Day 4, Out and about MykonosMykonos is not only famed for its nightlife but also for its amazing beaches found all around the island for all tastes, rent a bike, a moped or a car and see as many of them as you like. If you can’t get enough of partying select Paradise and Super Paradise in the south with beach bars and a lively atmosphere while if you are travelling with kids or seeking for relaxation more than partying select Platis Gialos in the north. Either way you will be amazed by the crystal clear waters and lovely soft sand. Have a light snack, perhaps a souvlaki and drink a refreshing frappe in one of the waterfront cafes in Mykonos Town. You have the whole evening to relax or stroll in the wonderful white-washed streets of Chora, where you may come across Petros the Pelican, a real mascot of Mykonos Town. Bar and clubs are waiting for you out there, yet there’s nothing wrong with spending a quiet evening after a day around the island.
Day 5, Mykonos - Recommended Delos Boat Trip
You haven’t seen any of Mykonos if you don’t take a half day boat trip to Delos with its amazing ancient exhibits. Boats to Delos set off from the old port in the morning and take you back late afternoon. As legend has it, Delos was the birthplace of the Apollo and Artemis and used to be the major religious centre in the Aegean centuries ago. Nowadays it is a fascinating “open-air” museum with ruins of temples and ancient residencies, as well as a museum. Return to Mykonos in the afternoon and leisure time to enjoy the rest of the day. Take a nap at the hotel, do some shopping or wait till the evening to spend one more exciting night out. Little Venice or Alefkandra is a lovely district with beautiful restored houses, nice shops, waterfront cafés, bars and restaurants, promising amazing sunsets while sipping your drink.
Day 6, Travelling to Santorini
Today you are visiting another premier destination in the Aegean. The unique volcanic island of Santorini. After breakfast you check out and you will be transferred to the port by our representative, where you will catch the hydrofoil to Santorini. When you arrive in Santorini, you will be met by our local English speaking representative and you will be transferred to the hotel. Santorini us one of the most breathtaking islands you will ever visit, with soul-stirring landscapes and stunning views of the caldera cliffs. In Santorini you will probably watch the best sunset of a lifetime along the caldera rim. Settle in to the hotel and don’t miss having your dinner toning in one of the caldera-rimmed restaurants with supreme volcano and sunset vista.
Day 7, Out and about SantoriniLeisure time to spend it as you wish. You may either relax at the hotel pool admiring the Caldera and volcano views or discovering the beauties of the island. You can catch the bus or even rent a car or hire a taxi and visit the unique beaches of Santorini. The long black sandy beach with the beach bars and water front sea beds is the perfect place to spend your day. You can always head to the settlement of Oia for some more sunset-watching. Indeed Oia offers one of the most breathtaking sunsets in the world.
Day 8, Santorini - Recommended Volcano & Hot Springs Boat Trip
A visit to Santorini would never be complete without a trip to the volcano standing in the centre of the mysterious Caldera, so give yourself the chance to remember this trip for the rest of your life. We are always there to arrange a boat trip to the volcano and the hot springs. It is a once-in-a-lifetime experience so don’t miss it. Spend your last evening in Santorini at a caldera rim restaurant overlooking that marvellous volcano and offering sunset views to enjoy over dinner. Fira is a great place to go out so spend an exciting night-out in one of its clubs.
Day 9, Travelling to CreteToday you are travelling to Crete. After breakfast and check out from your hotel in Santorini, you will be transferred to the port by our representative to travel to Heraklion, Crete by hydrofoil. Crete is an amazing island full of contrasts and with an awful lot to see. On arrival to Heraklion, you will be met by our local representative and get transferred to your luxury accommodation. Nearby your hotel there are dining venues where you can relish a lovely dinner and wander around to get acquainted with the area, so that you can star making plans of how to spend the next two days.
Day 10, Out and about Crete
Crete is one of the largest islands in the Aegean and provided visitors with an inexhaustible array of things to see and do, so jump at the chance to select some of these and live new experiences. The old town of Chania in the west or Agios Nikolaos in the east are a must see. The Minoan Palace of Knossos in a well preserved site with amazing murals with take you back in time. As for the beaches? You are bound to adore their crystal clear water and powder white or golden sand. Your best bet would be a trustworthy car rental, so that you can travel to the places you select in an easy and convenient way, so make your car rental request and we will come up with the best solution for you. Day 11, Flying back homeAfter breakfast and check out you will be transferred to the airport by our driver to catch your plane to Athens, and from there your international flight back home.
